Know where you stand
We assess your devices, software, accounts, access controls and security setup against the Cyber Essentials standard.
Get the right IT support for your business
Whether a customer’s asking for it, a tender depends on it or you just want to prove your cyber security is up to standard, Bellcom can get you there.
Getting Cyber Essentials certified shouldn’t mean being handed a list of problems and left to sort them yourself. We assess your setup against the Cyber Essentials requirements, fix what needs sorting and take care of the technical work. Then we get you certified. The whole process, sorted end to end.
We assess your devices, software, accounts, access controls and security setup against the Cyber Essentials standard.
Out-of-date software, weak access controls, unmanaged devices or configuration issues. If something needs sorting, we’ll tell you what and get it fixed.
Once the security measures are where they need to be, we handle the assessment for you. One less thing to worry about.
Certification lasts 12 months. With Bellcom's Cyber Pro plan, the controls are kept in place all year, so renewal doesn’t turn into another fire drill.
Cyber Essentials is the government-backed standard for protecting businesses of all sizes against the most common cyber threats. Getting certified is rarely just a case of filling in the assessment. Devices need to be secure, software needs to be up to date, access needs to be controlled properly and any gaps need fixing before you’re ready to submit.
No bouncing between your IT provider, a cyber consultant and someone handling compliance. We take responsibility for getting your environment ready. From certification to everything that comes next.
If something is going to stop you getting certified, we do the technical work that'll put it right.
Cyber Essentials certification comes built into our Cyber Pro plan. We keep the controls in place all year.
Cyber Essentials gives customers, suppliers and procurement teams a recognised way to see that the basics of your cyber security are being handled properly. For some businesses, it’s expected. For others, it’s a requirement. Either way, the value comes from what sits behind the certificate: fewer gaps, better controls and a stronger cyber security baseline across your business.
Cyber Essentials covered
From setup to certification
Both Cyber Essentials certifications are based on the same cybersecurity controls. The difference is in how they’re assessed.
You complete a self-assessment covering the security controls in place across your organisation. Your answers are then independently reviewed as part of the certification process. A good fit if you need to demonstrate that the core controls are in place.
Cyber Essentials Plus covers the same controls, but adds an independent technical assessment licensed by IASME to assess they’re working properly in practice. A better fit where customers, contracts or procurement teams need a higher level of assurance. Not sure which one you need? We’ll help you work it out.
We assess what you’ve already got, identify what needs fixing and get you through the certification process from start to finish.
We assess your devices, software, accounts, access controls and security setup against the Cyber Essentials standard.
Cyber Essentials certification comes included as standard with Bellcom's Cyber Pro plan. That means we’re not turning up once a year to patch things together before an assessment. Your security is already being managed against the same principles day to day.
Security patches and updates managed for you.
The right people have the right access.
Risks identified and resolved before they become a problem.
The certificate itself has a fixed cost. What usually adds up is the work needed to get your business ready: patching devices, tightening access, configuring firewalls, rolling out MFA and working through the assessment properly. A lot of providers charge separately for that work and ask you to pay separately for certification. We don't. With Bellcom's Cyber Pro plan it all comes included.

With our Cyber Pro plan, Cyber Essentials certification is included along with the work needed to get you through it.
If something needs patching, configuring or tightening up before certification, we handle it as part of your managed service.
Cyber Essentials needs renewing every year. We keep the controls in place and handle the renewal, so it’s one less thing for you to remember.
From the what and how to the who can do it for us.
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed cyber security scheme designed to protect organisations against the most common cyber attacks. It focuses on five core areas of technical security and gives businesses a recognised way to demonstrate that those controls are in place.
Not every business is legally required to have it, but customers, suppliers and procurement teams increasingly ask for certification. Plus, it can also be required when bidding for certain Government contracts.
If someone has asked you for Cyber Essentials and you’re not sure what certification you need, we can help. Talk to us.
The cyber landscape changes fast which is why Cyber Essentials certification only lasts for 12 months. After that, you’ll need to recertify to keep your certificate current.
Cyber Essentials looks at five areas:
All designed to reduce your exposure to the most common forms of cyber attack.
Cyber Essentials is based on a verified self-assessment. Cyber Essentials Plus uses the same requirements but adds an independent technical assessment to confirm that the controls are working in practice. Bellcom can help with both.
Honestly, it depends on how ready your environment is. If the right controls are already in place, certification can be relatively straightforward. If there are gaps around devices, software, user access or configuration, those will need sorting first.
That’s why we start with an assessment rather than going straight into the paperwork.
Cyber Essentials certification is included as part of our Cyber+ plan. We manage the technical preparation, identify and fix any gaps, and guide you through the certification process.
Cyber Essentials Plus is separate and isn’t included in the managed service fee. If you need it, we’ll help you prepare and work with an approved assessor to complete the certification.
Yes. Cyber Essentials certification is included as part of our Cyber+ managed plan, including the certification cost, technical preparation and ongoing support you’ll need to stay aligned with the standard. And when renewal comes around, we handle the whole process for you.
Cyber Essentials Plus is different. It involves an independent technical assessment, so the certification cost isn’t included in your Cyber+ plan. We’ll make sure you’re ready and, when the time comes, connect you with one of the approved assessors in our network.
We don’t offer Cyber Essentials consultancy as a standalone service. It’s built into Cyber+ as part of the ongoing cyber security management we provide throughout the year.
If you’re not sure which certification you need, let’s talk.
We’ll assess your setup, close the gaps and help you through the process without turning it into another project for your team to manage.
